As a machining mechanic apprentice, you will learn how to operate, monitor, and program CNC-controlled machines. You will work on modern lathes and milling machines, set up workpieces, select the appropriate tools, and monitor the quality of the finished components. Gradually, you will assume more responsibility in the manufacturing process, from preparation to post-processing.
Your tasks:
- Manufacturing and machining of components on CNC-controlled machining machines
- Selection of the right tools according to order / customer drawings
- Independent setup and setting of lathes or 5-axis machining centers as well as running programs
- Monitoring the machines while performing the tasks
- Independent quality control through the use of necessary measuring and testing equipment as well as post-processing of the products
- corrections to the CNC machining programs
- Collaboration in the optimization of manufacturing processes and efficient work
